Brazil Resources announces Colombia gold project estimate
Brazil Resources announced a sharp increase in its global resource following the completion of an estimate at it Titiribi gold-copper project in Colombia.
Titiribi was found to have a measured and indicated gold resource of 4.63Moz, the firm said in a statement.
This pushes the company's global resource up 146% to 7.8Moz, or 10.4Moz gold equivalent, with the inferred resource up 46% to 10.3Moz gold (12.6Moz gold equivalent).
The estimate follows about 145,000m of diamond drilling across 270 holes at the project, in Antioquia department.
Brazil Resources acquired Titiribi in its purchase of Sunward Investments from NovaCopper in a shares-only deal which closed on September 1.
The Vancouver-based company, which also has gold projects in Brazil and the US and a uranium project in Canada, continues to evaluate resource-stage projects in the Americas for potential M&A, CEO Garnet Dawson said.
