Description:
Acciona Energy Costa Rica is the local subsidiary of the multinational company Acciona Energy, a global renewable clean energies operator with presence in over 20 countries. It operates the wind power business and it started operations in the country with the construction of the Chiripa wind farm, which came online in 2014 and is made up of 33 Acciona Windpower 1.5MW wind turbines. The 49.5MW plant is located in Tilarán, Guanacaste, and is owned by Acciona Energía (65%) and Grupo Ecoenergía (35%).
