Description:
Paranaguá and Antonina Port Administration (Administração dos Portos de Paranaguá e Antonina, Appa) is a state-run company established in 1947 which operates under the State Secretariat of Infrastructure and Logistics. Appa oversees the D. Pedro II and Barão de Teffé ports, located in the cities of Paranaguá and Antonina respectively, State of Paraná; and holds a 25-year concession ending in 2047 to operate the ports, which move over 45 million tons of cargo annually. Appa completed a dredging project in the navigation and access canals, expanding them by one meter each; and has an expansion project for the Paranaguá Container Terminal, from 1.5MTEU/y to 2.5 MTEU/y.
