Description:

Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. is a Canadian gold miner with operations in Canada, Finland, and Mexico and exploration projects in each of these countries as well as Sweden and the US. In Mexico the company operates the Pinos Altos open pit and underground gold mine, including the Creston Mascota satellite deposit, in Chihuahua state on the Sierra Madre gold belt. The company also operates the La India gold and silver mine in Sonora state, only 70km northwest of Pinos Altos. Among its exploration projects, Agnico Eagle Mines has El Barqueño (100%) in Jalisco state and Morelos Sur in the Guerrero gold belt. The Toronto-based company was established in 1957.
