Description:
Alstom Mexicana, S.A. de C.V. is a subsidiary of French transport multinational Alstom S.A. Its main line of business is related to the Mexico City Metro system, involving maintenance, operations, construction, modernization, among others. The firm has provided the entire signaling system, more than 80 trains for the network, traction systems for over 40% of trains and metro lines for cities like Guadalajara and Monterrey. Alstom Mexicana also maintains tracks and locomotives for Mexican cargo operators and has long-term maintenance contracts for operators Ferromex, Ferrosur and Ferrovalle. It started operations in the country in 1967, with the construction of the fist metro line. Its main office is located in Mexico City, with other six workshops spread across the country.
