AP Sensing Americas LP is a provider of distributed optical sensing technology. The company is the US entity of the Boeblingen, Germany-based AP Sensing company. Its product line includes distributed detection of temperature (DTS), acoustic (DAS) and vibration (DVS) along an optical fiber; the SmartVision visualization platform that collects and integrates DTS, DAS and DVS control data, as well as security cameras, among others; and the SmartAlarm suite of alarm algorithms. Its applications include monitoring of overhead, underground and submarine power cables; monitoring of conduits for leaks and third party interference; monitoring of LNG facilities and wells and reservoirs; the detection of fires, and the detection of various areas of train operation such as their location, speed, direction, integrity, number of wagons, defects, condition of the rails, intruder detection, objects on the road, among others. AP Sensing Americas LP is based in Houston, Texas.
