Description:

Argo Transmissão de Energia S.A. (Argo) was incorporated in 2016 to enter a contract with the Federal Government related to the construction and installation of a electric power transmission lines network which will also operate and maintain for a period of 30 years. The network will cross 42 Brazilian municipalities in the northern states of Maranhão, Piauí, and Ceará and will comprise four 500kV lines: Bacabeira-Parnaíba III C1 and C2, Parnaíba III-Acaraú III C1, Acaraú III-Pecém II C1, and Aracaú III-Tianguá II C1. The project also involves the construction of four substations. The 1,200km project is expected to come online in 2021. The firm is a subsidiary of Argo Empreendimentos e Participações S.A., a Brazilian holding company focused on infrastructure, electricity, civil engineering and electrical installations, and is ultimately controlled by investment management firm Pátria Investimentos Ltda. The company is headquartered in São Paulo city.
