Associação Brasileira de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica (Absolar), founded in 2013, is a Brazilian private association that brings together companies of the photovoltaic sector operating in Brazil. Absolar coordinates, represents and defends issues regarding the development of the photovoltaic solar energy market and encouraging its use in Brazil, where the current installed capacity of PV micro solar power has reached 150MW, which is 75% of total micro generation. In 2017, the energy auctions processes for A-4 and A-6 resulted in the addition of 675MW and 3,8GW respectively, through a total of 88 projects and an injection of US$8bn into the Brazilian economy in the next years.
