Description:
Central Los Aromos SpA is a Chilean power generation company currently developing the Piedra Colgada solar photovoltaic power plant, to be located 38km west of Copiapo, in Chile's northern Atacama region (III). The 90MW Piedra Colgada plant will supply the country's Central Interconnected System (SIC), and the project includes a transformer substation connected to the 110kV Travesia-Punta Padrones transmission line, owned by Minera Candelaria. The project involves a US$169mn investment, spanning an area of 212ha, and a 35-year operation period. Central Los Aromos is headquartered in Santiago.
