CNBS ("Comisión Nacional de Bancos y Seguros de Honduras") is the local banking and insurance regulator. Is the entity responsible for monitoring compliance with the rules issued by Honduras' Central Bank about monetary, credit and exchange policy. At the same time, the institution verifies, controls and oversees banking activities of accredited insurance and banking institutions.
