Compañía Minera Ares S.A.C., a subsidiary of Peruvian precious metals miner Hochschild Mining plc, offers gold and silver exploration services. Its Ares mine, which commenced production in 1998, is a 100% owned operation located approximately 25km from Hochschild's Arcata mine in southern Peru. Ares was suspended in the second quarter of 2014 with total production for the first half of the year at 1.2Moz silver equivalent. Following a 2014 program of geological mapping, a 2,500m drilling campaign is scheduled for 2015, subject to receiving the requisite exploration permits
