Description:

Construtora Quebec S.A. (Quebec Engenharia) is a Brazilian engineering firm, mainly focused on building hydroelectric power plants and other power projects. Founded in 1990, the company's portfolio includes over 120 completed projects and more than 1600 MW-worth of renewable power stations built. Projects include hydroelectric power plants Inxú (20.6MW) in Mato Grosso, Paracambi (25MW) in Rio de Janeiro, and Pipoca (20MW) in Minas Gerais; solar power plants Assuruá (30 MW) and Verde Vale III (14.3 MW) in Bahia; and Morro de Chapeú Sul wind power plant (172 MW) in Bahia. Quebec was awarded the 500kV Governador Valadares 6-Mutum C2 and the 500kV Presidente Juscelino-Itabira 5 C2 transmission lines, which he subsequently sold to Terna with Quebec acting as the EPC contractor. Its latest project, the Foz do Estrela hydroelectric plant, is scheduled to come online in 2022. Construtora Quebec is based in Belo Horizonte.
