Ligga Telecom, formerly Copel Telecom, is a subsidiary of Companhia Paraenense de Energia and offers telecommunications and communications services. During 2015, the firm served more than 90% of its rural clients and almost 100% of its urban clients, with more than 70,000 new connections each year. Its fiber optic cable network covers 28,110km (of which 18,242km correspond to urban connections), which represents an annual growth of 10.5%. Intercity connections offer services to 5,000 corporate clients in 399 municipalities in Paraná state, two in Santa Catarina state, one in Mato Grosso and four in São Paulo, and broadband to 51 cities in Paraná.
