Description:

Copersucar S.A. is a Brazilian trader of sugar and ethanol. The company sells bagged white sugar to the domestic market and also exports to the Middle East, Northern Africa and Asia. It also sells anhydrous and hydrous ethanol domestically with exports to the United States. The firm has two subsidiaries: global traders Alvean and Eco-Energy. In November 2017, the company agreed to form a 50/50 joint venture with UK's BP Biofuels to own and operate the Terminal Copersucar de Etanol in Paulínia, in the state of São Paulo, aiming to connect ethanol production with flexible storage capacity close to the main ethanol consumer markets in Brazil.

Copersucar was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in São Paulo city.
