Enagás S.A. is a Spanish midstream gas company engaged in the transport and storage of natural gas, the operation of gas networks and LNG plants. It operates 12,000km of pipelines, three underground storage facilities, in Huesca, Vizcaya and Guadalajara, and four regasification plants, in Barcelona, Huelva, Cartagena and Gijón. It owns a 50% stake in the regasification plant in Bilbao and 72.5% interest in the Sagunto plant. It's wholly owned subsidiary Gascan is currently developing a project to build two regasification plants in Canarias. Enagás began international operations in 2011, and it currently has presence in three Latin American countries. In Mexico, it holds interest in the Altamira's regasification plant (40%), in a consortium for the construction and operation of the Morelos gas pipeline and another consortium which developed the Soto la Marina compression station, with 50% interest in each. In Chile, it is the majority shareholder in LNG storage and regasification terminal Quintero, with 60% stake, while in Peru it has a 28.94% stake in local hydrocarbons transporter Transportadora de Gas del Perú (TgP) and a 30% interest in Compañía Operadora de Gas del Amazonas (Coga), responsible for the operation and maintenance of TgP's transport system. Enagás was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Madrid.
