Enel Americas, formerly Enersis Américas, is the regional unit of Italian holding Enel. It consists of the generation, transmission and distribution firms in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru. As of December 2019, the company had an installed capacity of 11,267 MW and was supplying over 26.4 million clients. Enel Americas is also the controlling company of Colombian power distributor Codensa and power generator Emgesa. Enel Americas is headquartered in Santiago, Chile. The company was incorporated in 1981. Enel S.p.A. is the owner of 58.26% of its shares.
