Energicon S.A. is focused on oil and gas exploration, development and production in Neuquén basin, Argentina. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian mining company GrowMax Resources Corp. (formerly Americas Petrogas Inc.) since 2011. The Company is headquartered in Buenos Aires and was created in 1997. In 2015, GrowMax Resources Corp transferred Energicon S.A. a 25% interest in blocks Vaca Mahuida, 35% in Rinconada Norte, 25% in Loma Ranqueles, 90% in Totoral, Yerba Buena and Bajada Colorada, and 19.5% in Huacalera. All these assets were previously held by subsidiary Americas Petrogas Argentina S.A., which was acquired in 2015 by Tecpetrol International S.A. - Techint Group's oil subsidiary - and they were not included in the purchase agreement. In June 2016, Energicon's parent company announced it will pursue plans to divest all its Argentinean assets, including Energicon.
