Description:
Famesa Explosivos Chile S.A. produces and trades explosives, provides technical assistance and post sale services, and offers accessories and comprehensive blasting services for mining and civil construction. It offers pentolite, cartridged and bulk explosives; pyrotechnical and non-electric accessories, fuses, cords; and raw materials such as ANFO. Blasting services include the design of the priming system; mechanized loading of blast holes; priming, tying and shot initiation; and management of explosive storage; specialized software and equipment; and technical assistance. In 2002, Famesa Chile acquired the explosives and blasting accessories trader Explonor S.A., and incorporated it to the Famesa Group. In 2012, Explonor S.A. was renamed as Famesa Explosivos Chile S.A., and moved its plant from Alto Hospicio to La Serena, near its headquarters, a process finished in 2014. It owns offices in Antofagasta, Copiapó, Ovalle, Illapel and Santiago.
