Founded in 2002, GeoPark Ltd. is a Latin America-focused oil and gas explorer and operator with operations in Chile, Colombia, Brazil and, on a smaller scale, Argentina. The company also plans to expand its footprint to Peru as a result of its pending Morona block acquisition. GeoPark has a portfolio of assets that includes working and/or economic interests in 29 hydrocarbons blocks, 28 of which are onshore blocks, including 12 in production as of December 31, 2014, as well as an additional shallow offshore concession in Brazil that includes the Manatí field. In addition, it has a new concession in Brazil, the PN-T-597 block. As of December 31, 2014, GeoPark had net proved reserves of 43.7Mboe (composed of 72% oil and 28% natural gas). Under a revised plan published in 2015, the firm is focusing the bulk of its investment on Colombia, namely for drilling and construction of facilities at the Tigana and Tua fields in the Llanos 34 block. The company was founded in 2002 and is based in Santiago, Chile.
