Description:
Global Power Generation Chile SpA (GPG Chile), the local subsidiary of Spain's renewable energy firm Global Power Generation and ultimately controlled by Gas Natural Fenosa, engages in the development of renewable power projects in the Latin American country. The company has presence in more than seven countries; it entered the Chilean market in 2015 and is currently developing the 240MW Cabo Los Leones II wind farm, in Huasco province, and a 120MW photovoltaic plant, in the Atacama desert. The firm is also behind the Tierra Noble natural gas-fired combined cycle thermal power plant, located in Charrua municipality, Biobio region (VIII). The power station will supply 600MW to the country's central SIC power grid.
