Description:
Hidronormandia S.A. is an Ecuadorian special purpose vehicle created to develop the Normandia hydro project, which involves the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a run-of-river 49.6MW plant in Morona Santiago province, boasting five Pelton turbines, on the Upano river. The Normandia project, located 25km from Macas city, also includes the construction of an 85km 230kV transmission line that will run from the future Normandia substation to the extant San Bartolo substation. The plant will supply an average of 349.9GW/h to Ecuador's national grid. Hidronormandia is headquartered in Quito.
