Ibereólica Caravelí S.A.C. is a subsidiary of Peruvian firm Aprovechamientos Energéticos de los Andes, S.A.C. and is part of Spanish independent renewable power developer Grupo Ibereólica Renovables. It is a special purpose entity currently developing the Caravelí Wind Park project, in the Caravelí province, in the Peruvian department of Arequipa. The project comprises the installation of 65 wind turbines in a 2,800ha area to reach a total installed capacity of 214.5MW. It also considers the construction of a 34.5/220kV step-up substation and a double-circuit 220kV, 51km transmission line to supply the national power grid SEIN. The power plant lifespan is estimated at 25 years with an investment of over US$289.5mn. The company was established in 2016 and is headquartered in Lima.
