Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santiago (Coraasan) is the water and sewerage utility of the Dominican Republic's Santiago city. The company is currently developing a potable water improvement program that entails installing 16 pumping units, three storage tanks and 45.4km of piping. Pipelines will be installed in the localities of Gurabo III, Yapur Dumit and Puñal along with accompanying electromagnetic flow meters. The program's three principal objectives are improving water services for some 329,000 people in the city's metropolitan area, reducing energy consumption related to the production and distribution of water, and enhancing operational efficiency through improvements to Coraasan's commercial operations as well as in corporate governance areas.
