Founded in 2001 by partners Minervino Almeida Bethonico and Rangel de Almeida Bethonico, we operated until December 2006 in the extraction of dolomitic limestone and production of lime, intended for industrial applications, when the company's assets were sold.

In 2014, we returned to our main activity, iron ore extraction, by leasing the Mina do Baú from Vale, a project located on the border between the municipalities of Barão de Cocais and Santa Bárbara.

Our production consists of dry extraction, with dismantling carried out by a mechanical breaker adapted to a backhoe, and the use of explosives is not necessary in the process. Since it is a dry process, the use of dams is dispensed with, and the waste and waste generated in the production processes are stored in controlled piles, where the lower grade ore can be used in future processes. Today, we have a total licensed production of 6 million tons per year.
