Description:

NII Holdings is a US mobile and trunking operator for business customers in Latin America. The company offers fully integrated wireless communications that include digital cellular voice services, data services, wireless internet access and Nextel Direct Connect and International Direct Connect, a digital two-way radio feature. Its operations in Latin America include Argentina, Mexico and Brazil. In early 2015, NII Holdings sold Nextel's Mexican operations to US operator AT&T for US$1.88bn. In addition, the company sold Nextel Communications Argentina to Grupo Clarín for US$12mn. NII Holdings continues to operate in Brazil, where it reduced its net loss in the fourth quarter of 2015.
