Brazil's OP Energia Ltda., formerly EP Energy do Brasil, is a wholly owned subsidiary of oil and gas exploration company Ouro Petro Óleo e Gás. In 2015, the company secured three blocks in the Parnaíba basin, PN-T-162, PN-T-145, and PN-T-65. Rio de Janeiro-based OP Energia was incorporated in 1998 and it was acquired by Ouro Preto Óleo e Gás in 2014.
