Description:

Patagonia Oil Corp is an oil and gas exploration, development and production corporation incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. In 2017, it acquired a 29% interest in the Llancanelo field, located in Neuquén Basin, through the takeover of Alianza Petrolera Argentina S.A. (Alianza), another 10% stake in the same asset from Roch S.A., and later y acquired an additional 11% working interest in the property through a farm-in agreement with state owned company YPF. Patagonia Oil also holds an 18% interest in the Estancia La Mariposa, Lomita de la Costa and Cerro Mangrullo assets, in San Jorge basin, as well as 54.15% interest in the Sur Río Deseado Este field, in in San Jorge basin, and a 7.92% stake in the Sur Río Deseado field. Also in 2017, the company acquired 100% stake in the KM8 asset and became the owner of the operator San Jorge Oil & Gas Inc. In 2017, the company became a subsidiary of Canadian E&P company Pentanova Energy, with operations in Colombia and Argentina.
