Description:
Honduras' infrastructure and public services ministry INSEP is the government body responsible for the development of social infrastructure projects, such as the maintenance and improvement of highways, ports, logistical and tourism corridors, and bridges. It comprises three departments: highways, transport and public works. INSEP was formed in 2014 and is the main entity of the productive infrastructure cabinet, which also includes Coalianza, Hondutel, Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica, Empresa Nacional Portuaria and Fondo Vial.
