Description:
Bolivia's geology and mining service Sergeomin is a decentralized body of the government responsible for gathering basic geological data fromx the country. Its tasks include the geological prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits and natural resources and the development of the nation's geological map database to be used in the development of mining projects. Established in 2014, the agency is the successor of a government agency originally created in 1954 —the National Geology Department (Denageo). Its head office is based in La Paz.
