Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A. is a global renewable energy company established in 2017 after the merger of Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica, S.A. and Siemens Wind HoldCo, S.L. The company manufactures and supplies wind turbines; develops, installs and operates wind farms; provides equipment for the photovoltaic, hydroelectric, wind and nuclear power, electric vehicle, and marine sectors, among others. Additionally, Siemens Gamesa provides optimization, overhaul, life extension and retrofitting services for wind power installations, and off-grid solutions for remote locations. In 2017, the company entered a contract to supply 36 wind turbines (76MW) for the Tizimin wind farm, in Yucatan state, which also includes the operation and maintenance of the facilities. The firm's Latin American presence includes offices in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Brazil; and a production center in the latter country. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is headquartered in Vizcaya, Spain, with an office in Madrid.
