Description:
Statkraft Perú develops and operates renewable energy projects in Peru. The Lima-based company already operates nine hydropower plants in Peru, including the 176MW Cheves run-of-the-river hydropower plant, which runs along the Churín and Checras rivers in Huaura and Oyón provinces; the plant is the first one completely built by the company and started operating in 2015. Statkraft Perú portfolio also includes Cahua, Gallito Ciego, La Oroya and Malpaso hydropower plants. Statkraft Perú, a subsidiary of Norwegian Statkraft, acquired its current brand name in 2014.
