Description:
Total E&P Bolivie Sucursal Bolivia (Tepbo) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of French oil and gas company Total Group. The firm is involved in the exploration, production and distribution of natural gas. The company has interest in seven licenses in the country. The three non-operated blocks San Alberto (15%), San Antonio (15%) and XX Tarija Oeste (41%) are in the production phase, part of the Itaú gas and condensate field. Blocks in the exploration phase are Rio Hondo (50%) and Azero (50%, operator for this phase), while the Aquio and Ipati blocks (60% and operator), are in the development phase. The Ipati block contains the Incahuasi gas and condensate field, in which Total E&P Bolivie holds a 60% interest and development is conducted together with Tecpetrol de Argentina and Gazprom. The project, which began production in 2016, is comprised of three wells, a gas treatment plant and a pipeline connected through 120km to existing gas export pipelines. For the first phase the field has a rated capacity of 6.5 million cubic meters a day and nearly 6,000 barrels of condensate, and 75% of the gas will be exported to Argentina and Brazil. Sant Cruz-based Tepbo was incorporated in 1994.
