Description:

Yacimientos Carboníferos Río Turbio S.A. (YCRT) is an Argentine state-owned coal miner company. It operates a coal field located at the department of Guer Aike, southwest of the province of Santa Cruz which has total reserves of 697 million tons. The production is destinated to domestic consumption and to provide energy to the Rio Turbio thermal plant, project associated to the company and located at the Rio Turbio coal mine. The 240MW power plant will inject power into the SADI grid.
