Jamaica’s energy ministry issued a call for expressions of interest to review and update the national energy policy.
The deadline to file documents is May 3, according to the procurement notice.
The consultancy work falls under the government’s energy management and efficiency program which is supported by IDB, JICA and the EU-CIF.

Dominican Republic power regulator SIE issued a transitory supplementary standard for fuel pricing declarations for plants supplied with natural gas through pipelines and that have contracts with take or pay clauses.
“This new mode of fuel supply has resulted in difficulties for the weekly scheduling of the economic dispatch of the different thermal generation plants,” the watchdog said in a resolution.
The temporary norm will remain in force until a definitive standard is established.

Honduras’ state power company Enee has released the list of shortlisted groups that will be invited to submit offers for a 27-month, IDB-financed contract to supervise and manage the construction and expansion of transmission infrastructure.
Of the nine companies and consortiums that submitted expressions of interest, the following six participants advanced in the call: Cointec-Nippon Koei LAC-Gatesa; Latinoconsult-Tecnolatina-Saybe; GOPA-International Energy Consultants; Sigla-Electrotek; Consorcio Integral Subestaciones para Honduras; and ACI-Integral-Proteger.
