A total of 11 bidders presented their proposals today to carry out the project to improve the health infrastructure that will benefit more than 120,000 people in four cities in the Eastern Region, distributed in the departments of Alto Paraná, Misiones, Paraguarí and San Pedro.

This is call No. 450,785 – Call MOPC No. 33/2024 LPI “Construction of the sanitary sewage system, wastewater treatment plant and improvement of the drinking water system for the cities of Santa Rita, San Ignacio Guazú, Carapeguá and Santa Rosa del Aguaray.”

Six consortia and five independent companies

Among the participants are: Ginsa SA, Consorcio Ysaka ( Tecnoedil SA. Constructora y Supercemento SAIC ), Consorcio CHLT ( Constructora Heisecke SA and LT SA ), Consorcio Sanitario Carapeguá (Miguel Angel Chaves Hausman and Benito Roggio e Hijos SA), Construcciones y Propiedades Paraguayas SA, Consorcio Rovella TOCSA ( TOCSA SA and Rovella Carranza SA), Sociedad Constructora Chaco SA, Edivi SA, CDD Construcciones SA, CES Consortium ( Concret Mix SA and Espina Obras Hidráulicas SA) and TYT Saneamiento Consortium (Topography and Roads Engineering SA T&C SA and TEYMA Uruguay SA).

The bids presented show a variety of economic proposals for the project in its different lots, with the lowest bid being around ₲ 66,842,603,911, while the highest is ₲ 385,740,371,637, with respect to the estimated investment of ₲ 298,011,985,129.

Healthcare transformation in 4 cities

The project is divided into 4 lots that include the construction of more than 200 km of sanitary sewer networks, 11 pumping stations and 4 wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), in addition to improvements in water management and public health in the beneficiary cities.

The initiative is part of the Sanitation Program for Intermediate Cities in the Eastern Region and is financed by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean ( CAF ) for an approximate amount of 46 million dollars.

With this progress, the MOPC continues towards the execution of these key works, which will not only improve public health and the environment, but will also boost economic development in the region.
