116 municipal governments will benefit from the installation of fiber optics to the home

The Minister of Public Works, Services and Housing, Edgar Montaño, reported on the Fiber Optic Communications to the Home Installation Project, to be implemented throughout the country during the current administration, and on telecommunications works for the department of La Paz.

In telecommunications for La Paz, Montaño indicated that "we are already ready to inaugurate 20 radio bases in the municipalities of Curva, La Asunta, Pelechuco, Sorata, Ancoraimes, Apolo, Calamarca, Charaña, Guanay, Malla, Inquisivi, Tihuanacu, Batallas, Colquiri, Coroico, Quime and Viacha", which correspond to the IRB III project.

In addition, as part of the IRB III (addendum), IRB IV and IRB V projects, 86 radio bases are in the execution stage, where civil works will begin in February and July of this year. In total, the National Government has 106 radio bases for this department with an investment of more than Bs 232 million.
