By December 2024, a single passenger terminal will be ready in accordance with the commitments assumed with the Peruvian State. To date, it has made 77% progress, meeting important milestones such as: the implementation of the first boarding gates, installation of the latest generation baggage system, construction of the internal vehicular access viaduct that will connect with the city, start of paving of parking areas and access roads, beginning of the glazed design of the façade, as well as the installation of internal finishes, among other improvements that will offer the passenger a world-class travel experience.

The New Single Passenger Terminal will operate 100% in the new infrastructure that will be 3 times larger than the current one, going from 90 thousand m2 to 270 thousand m2 at the end of 2025. At the beginning of operation the new terminal will have a capacity to serve to 30 million passengers annually.

The 77% progress rate of the New Single Passenger Terminal to date has been possible thanks to the work of more than 7 thousand workers on site, in rotating shifts that operate day and night, from Monday to Saturday.

Today, work is underway on the completion of the viaduct, installation of equipment, finishes and architectural activities essential for the operation of the new single passenger terminal. The baggage belt system has already been installed for the first 30 counters on the first airline check-in island. 90 Check-In modules will operate in this area; In addition, 42 self-billing modules.

New technologies have also been implemented, such as the hold luggage processing and scanning system, the installation of 8 boarding gates, 25 elevators, 33 escalators, and the installation of moving walkways for passengers has begun.

It is worth highlighting the equipment of the new electrical substation, which will supply the city, airport, and the chilled water plant, key for the air conditioning of the new single passenger terminal. As well as the installation of 1,100 seismic isolators that will preserve the integrity of the infrastructure and continuity of operations in situations of large-magnitude natural events.

As part of the transition work, currently, the training and training phase of the airport community is being carried out, thus guaranteeing the preparation of the personnel who will operate the new terminal.

With the first Airport City in South America, the aim is to turn Peru into a commercial, logistics, transportation and tourism hub in the region, taking advantage of its strategic location 3km from the port of Callao and 70 km from the mega port of Chancay.
