Alamos unveils Mulatos drill results

Bnamericas
Vancouver-based Alamos Gold (TSX-V: AGI) has reported assay results from the first four holes of a 15-hole drill program at the Cerro Estrella portion of its Mulatos gold deposit in northern Mexico's Sonora state. Drilling is designed to test gold distribution within structural zones identified during surface and underground alternation plus structural mapping. Results include 2.0g/t gold over 174m, 3.0g/t over 103m, 3.6g/t over 93m and 2.5g/t over 12m, Alamos said. "Drilling results to date appear to confirm the concept of higher-grade gold concentrations within broad structural zones," the company said. Alamos is funding exploration through a private placement for gross proceeds of Cdn$12.3mn (about US$9.5mn). Mulatos is one of eight known mineral occurrences at Alamos' 100% owned Salamandra gold property.
