Aneel clears Enertrade power exports

Brazil's power regulator Aneel has authorized power trading company Enertrade to sell 5MW to Bolivian electricity cooperative Cooperativa Rural de Electrificación through end-2005, Aneel said in its weekly newsletter. The power exports will be made though the distribution network of Mato Grosso do Sul power distributor Enersul using 34.5kV voltage and 60Hz frequency. The power exports will be suspended if supplies in Brazil are affected, Aneel said. Enertrade and Enersul are controlled by EDP Brasil, a unit of Portugal's state power company.
