Ausol posts US$7.7mn 9mth. net profit

Argentine highway concessionaire Autopistas del Sol (Ausol) posted a 22.3mn peso (US$7.76mn) net profit in the first nine months, versus a 495mn peso net loss in the same period last year, Ausol said in a statement to the country's securities regulator, the CNV. The result is principally due to the partial recovery of exchange rate differences between the peso and US dollar, said Ausol. For the period, revenue fell 16% to 101mn pesos and operating profit dropped 20.7% to 33.5mn pesos. Ausol operates 95km of Buenos Aires province's northern access road - part of the Pan American highway - and 24km of the General Paz Avenue. Some US$700mn have been invested since the concession began in 1996. Aurea Concesiones de Infraestructura S.A.C.E. (45.2%), Impregilo International Infraestructures (18.3%), Dycasa S.A. (5.83%) and Grupo Dragados (0.68%) make up Ausol.
