Banchile now operating on Latibex

Chilean stock brokerage Banchile began doing business on the Spanish stock exchange for Latin American stocks Latibex on August 17, local press reported. Banchile is the first Chilean, and second Latin American stock brokerage to be listed on the Latibex. "Our objective is to act as specialized intermediaries for Chilean stocks that are currently or potentially traded on the Latibex exchange," Banchile CEO Francisco Armanet said. Banchile is a principal intermediary in the local stock exchange and accounts for 27% of the Chilean market, according to the report. The stockbroker is a subsidiary of Chilean bank Banco de Chile and has operated in local and international markets for 15 years.
