Bnamericas
Brazilian software developer Brasoftware expects to bill 80.4mn reais (US$31.8mn) this year, Brasoftware consultancy services director Josmar Machado told BNamericas. "We expect 2005 to be a very good year for Brasoftware, with our total revenues growing 20%," Machado said. The company billed 67mn reais (US$26.5mn) in 2004, 21% over 2003's figures. One notable area of growth will be the firm's Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, which account for 10% of total sales. Brasoftware expects 30% sales growth of BI solutions this year. The company developed its BI tools, notable for their easy implementation and installation, in partnership with Porto Alegre-based DBC Company. The tools run on standard applications like Microsoft Office and Microsoft SQLServer. The company has no immediate plans to expand its software development and consultancy activities to other markets outside Brazil, Machado added. Brasoftware offers software solutions to the corporate sector as well as the SOHO (Small Office and Home Office) sector.
