Brazilian Diamonds gets listing on AIM

The shares of Vancouver-based junior miner Brazilian Diamonds (TSE: BDY) began trading on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange under the symbol BDY, the company said in a statement. In conjunction with the AIM listing the company, formerly known as Black Swan, is raising Cdn$4.62mn (US$3.56mn) by way of a private placement of 6,000,000 shares at Cdn$0.77 a share. The shares issued under this private placement will be restricted to trading only on AIM for a period of 90 days, it said. "We are anticipating that the quotation will bring us a number of benefits including enhanced liquidity in trading of our shares and an increase in the company's profile in the international investment community," said Ken Judge, chairman of Brazilian Diamonds.
