Brazilian electronics manufacturer CCE is investing US$20mn to make mobile phones in the duty-free city of Manaus with Chinese and US partners, business daily Valor Econômico reported Friday. The unit will have production capacity of 2.5 million handsets in the CDMA and GSM technologies a year. CCE will focus on low-income consumers, with handsets selling for up to 200 reais (US$60).
