Bnamericas
The Dominican Republic's state power company CDEEE will build a 120mn peso (US$3.33mn), 138kV transmission line to supply the north of capital city Santo Domingo, the government news service said in statement Friday. The new 11.5km Palamara-Arroyo Hondo line, which will be constructed with a World Bank loan, will carry up to 560MW and replaces infrastructure dating from the late 50s, the statement said. The line is due to start operations in March 2004.
