Chamber to hold integration roundtable Dec.7

Bnamericas
The Chile-Bolivia binational mining chamber will hold its fourth roundtable, to be entitled "Integration for Reactivation?" in the Bolivian city of Oruro on December 7, said chamber director Alvaro Rejas. He said the meeting will look at mining integration between the two countries, including development potential along their border, based on results of the so-called Andean Multinational Project. Those attending will also analyze Chile's cross-border mining treaty with Argentina, and progress on a proposed similar arrangement between Bolivia and Peru. It will also delve into technology and scientific cooperation between Chile and Bolivia via academic institutions, with the rectors of Iquique and Oruro universities due to attend. The following round table will be held in Potosi in March next year. The mission of the not-for-profit chamber includes compiling suggestions to fine-tune legislation leading to efficient integration and complementation.
