Chubb offers auto localization tool to increase loyalty

The Brazil unit of international insurer Chubb (NYSE: CB) is offering free auto localization services for its high-end clients in order to boost client loyalty, the company said in a statement. "Doing business in the high-end auto insurance area, the company has realized that owners develop an affective relationship with their automobiles. For some of these clients, the important thing is to get their car back, and not only to be reimbursed for the value of the car," Chubb said. Initially the service will be offered to owners of vehicles worth more than 200,000 reais, in addition to pick-ups, sports utility vehicles as well as Audi A3 and Golf models. Chubb Brasil took a 10.4mn reais (US$3.5mn) loss in the first half, compared to a 10.7mn reais profit in the same year-ago period. Chubb Brasil forms part of US-based insurance group Chubb's Latin American franchise. Chubb serves property and casualty customers from more than 130 offices in 31 countries. Chubb works with 8,000 independent agents and brokers worldwide.
