Cofetel: Over 14 million internet users by year-end

Mexico should end the year with 14.4 million internet users, up 13% compared to the 12.2 million users recorded at year-end 2003, according to information published by Mexico's telecom regulator Cofetel. Among Mexico's PC owners, there are 5.05 million who go online from home, while 2.63 million access the internet from other locations. Cofetel also registers 5.9 million users who have no computer in their homes. Cofetel compiled the data using feedback from local ISPs and national statistics institute Inegi.
