Easa posts US$13mn loss in Q2

Argentine holding company Electricidad Argentina (Easa) posted second quarter net losses of 39.8mn pesos (US$13.3mn) compared to 192mn-peso profits in the second quarter 2003, the company told the Buenos Aires stock market, without providing comparative figures. France's state power company EDF controls Easa, which in turn owns 51% of distributor Edenor, the distributor serving over 2.2 million clients in the northern part of capital city Buenos Aires.
