Edomex: 25% of roads require repairs

About 25% of Mexico state's (Edomex) 4,250km in roads require repairs, meaning local officials have earmarked 300mn pesos (US$26mn) for conservation and repair works, Edomex highway association director Dagoberto Suárez announced. Of the total, 50mn pesos have already been set aside for 1,062km of roads in "regular or poor" condition, the state government said in a statement. Edomex has 14,190km in roads under state, federal and municipal control.
